Library Course Reserves Policy: Kindles for Course Reserves

In 2020, as a recipient of a grant provided by the State Library of Ohio to offset COVID-19 expenses, CIA Gund Library was able to use a portion of these funds to purchase five Kindle Fire e-readers to facilitate a pilot program with select course reserve titles provided in ebook format.

While these ebooks are available on library Kindles, they may not be available as an ebook on the library catalog.

These devices are available for one-week loans. Kindles provide an alternative to print textbooks that allow for quicker and easier sanitization after use.

If you would like to add your textbooks, please contact the library director, Laura Ponikvar, at If a title is not available to purchase for Kindle, we can also look into Kindle e-textbook rentals. Plan ahead for next semester's courses!
